Those $600 Rage Against The Machine tickets are for charity, anti-capitalist band tells critics

'Maybe.....Rage Confronting The Machine has now become a part of the machine,' tweeted ane upset fan

Rage Against the Motorcar fans, please, take a moment to read the data when buying tickets. That's what guitarist Tom Morello has been telling Ragers over and over and over again since tickets went on sale just earlier Valentine's Day.

Fans of the anti-capitalist rock band were appalled at the ticket prices for the group's reunion tour, where on Ticketmaster, prices for leftover seats ranged from $300 to upwards of $600.

Some chop-chop took their venting online, saying that instead of raging against the so-chosen machine, the musicians had in fact become the car.

Morello went on Twitter to clarify that the band reserved xc per cent of tickets at standard price and the other x per cent at "charity" toll. So for those lucky enough to snag a standard ticket, they'd pay Usa$125 plus service fees. Any seat above that cost was labelled a charity ticket that was marked up in an effort to curb scalpers and resellers.

"Any other ticket at any other price is from scalpers," Morello tweeted.

Even so, even at the $125-cost signal, fans accused the band of trying to cash in a big profit in their comeback tour.

"Yo $125 for the lowest ticket price for the Rage Confronting The Auto concert. Maybe….. Rage Confronting The Motorcar has now become a part of the machine," tweeted i user.

"$ 125 are cheapest ticket to Rage Against the Car in Buffalo. I saw them for $15 in one case. My my. I wish my paychecks increased the same step as ticket prices have," journalist Dan Telvock tweeted.

On the band's website, a longer explanation for the ticket prices is given. At many concerts, up to l per cent of the tickets are scooped upward by scalpers to exist resold at much higher prices, the page reads. The 10 per cent of reserved clemency seats are randomly selected throughout the venue, significant even middle-section seats could cost more than than $300.

"We hate scalping as much equally y'all practise and will keep to try to discover ways to combat it," the argument reads. "We are confident this will aid many more fans get tickets at confront value and put a big paring in the aftermarket gouging."

With the charity tickets, 100 per cent of the boosted proceeds will go to diverse clemency organizations in the urban center of the selected concert prove.

On Saturday, Morello claimed the band raised more than $3 million in the beginning 48 hours with the unconventional sales and curbed 85 per cent of resales.

"Additionally, we are altruistic all profits from our first three shows to immigrants' rights organizations."

The $125-fee doesn't seem outrageous for big headlining tours, Rolling Stone pointed out. Tickets at Post Malone's show in Washington D.C. are priced at $129.50 plus fees. The everyman priced ticket for Pearl Jam's Nashville concert was $109 and the Eagles' upcoming bear witness in New York City get-go around the $150 marker, plus fees.

The Canadian dates of the Public Service Announcement bout include Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Quebec City, Hamilton and Toronto.
